Wow, where has the the time gone?! Last week flew right by and before I knew it I was knee-deep in 4th of July festivities.
I come from a wee little town and one of its biggest events is the annual 3rd of July parade. I ended up skipping it this year (but not without lots of internal debate), but it truly is one of my favorite things EVER. So wholesome and fun. My dad marches in it each year and throws mini U.S. Constitutions into the crowd. He thinks it's very important to know your rights and I'd have to agree. Gotta love that.
How was your long weekend? What did you do?
I've been loving these little vignettes by Mary Ruffle at her other site, It's Pretty Good.

Sounds like such a nice tradition! Exactly the kind of thing I was missing this year. I love the 4th of July, so being over here in Sweden was kind of sad. But it was a good weekend anyway, with lots of beach time and dancing :-)
awww i love parades..didnt do much but relax for once
i looooovvvveeee mary ruffle! sounds like you had a great 4th!
miss you, Lo :)
I didn't know you skipped it! I love that Bob throws out the Constitution- half of them probably hit the pavement and get stuck in some kids ABC gum....gotta love the effort though!
