A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a party thrown by Ruby Press founder, Melissa Davis. It was the 10th anniversary party for her first client, Viv&Ingrid, and they turned Hayes Valley shop Miette into a 'Carnival of Sweets'.

Let me start out by saying that every single detail was beautifully thought out and perfectly executed from the red and white drinking straws to the fashion fortunes in the balloons each guest parted with. My fortune was to think about changing my hair style, but that's ok!
There was homemade cracker jack and marshmallows, lavender cotton candy, free-flowing champagne. The highlight was, of course, meeting Melissa in person for the first time. I was nervous she'd have no idea who I was, but she recognized me instantly and gave me a huge hug - so sweet. The whole night was pretty much a dream and I can't believe it's taken me this long to post about it.

We left with this sweet canvas tote which now houses my lunch each day. It was filled with little treats and even a pair of cupcake earrings!
