Candace Ang

Loving these necklaces by Candace Ang.

Statement pieces are really making a comback. Since I am a fan of a simple t-shirt with heels and statement jewelry, these are a perfect way to add interest to your everyday ensembles.
Here's one she did for for Urban Outfitters. I am feeling the muted, feminine blush color paired with tough gold grommets.

Happy Birthday Golden Gate!

It was just brought to my attention that this bridge some of you might recognize turns 72 today! Holy cow!

SFGate has some great pictures up - go see more here.

When I am out of town for a while, back home in suburbia where things are a bit quieter, I get anxiety coming back to SF. I don't know why - I love this place like crazy and the pace of life here is so different...but when I come through that tunnel on 101 South and the light at the end gets bigger and bigger and I see more and more of that beautiful bridge and the skyline behind it, my anxiety wanes and the stress lifts and I know I am home.

Happy Birthday Golden Gate Bridge!

When Reality Isn't Real

Check out this article in
Portfolio about "how reality tv is made"

Interesting article about Adam DiVello {creator of Laguna Beach, The Hills, and The City} about the formula necessary to create those 15 second stares and halted dialogue. I keep watching though...will you once Lauren is gone?! Her last episode is next week - eek!

I'm Back!

Hello loves! What a week it has been in my world. It started with my brother sliding down a 30 foot cliff at Stinson Beach and well...it only got worse from there.

I am back in San Francisco {where the weather is maaaaarvelous} and back to blogging!

Hope you missed me as much as I missed y'all.

Sad Buzz

Hi Everyone. My grandma died early this morning, so I am sorry to say it will be a quiet week {or two} around this little part of the internet.

She was a fabulous woman whom I'll miss dearly. Thanks for all the good times Beverley Jane, I love you.

Happy Weekend + B2B

Forgive me for the lack of posts today. A family emergency sprang up and I've been busy!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. If you're in San Francisco, don't forget Bay To Breakers is this Sunday!

Jenna Lyons Part II

I found a blog dedicated to all things J.Crew {heaven} and they had the Vanity Fair clip below {click here to enlarge}.

Also, if you enjoyed the first part of Fashionista's interview with Jenna Lyons, you can read the second part here.

Spun Out

I went to a spin class for the first time in my life last night.

I don't usually like to talk about things this gruesome on my blog, but man, do I feel violated today. I expected to be sore, but not quite in this way.

Do any of you spin? Aside from putting a pillow on your seat, how do you get past the horrible pain?

Mia Nolting

I am digginig these illustrations by Mia Nolting. That bright yellow would be fab somewhere in my house. Check out her site here and her blog here.

Seen on this
beautiful blog.

Perfect

I am crazy for this kitchen. It's the perfect mix of rustic glamour and precious little nesting bowls. I love everything exposed like that - it just makes more sense.

Wreaths

Wreaths are typically thought of as an autumnal decoration, but I am loving on these beauties for summer. Found here.

Etsy's blog, The Storque posted a FAB DIY idea today from the brain of TinyBazaar. The supplies are cheap and there are even downloadable pdf's that you can use!

Be Right Back

I'm a bizzy bee this morning - I'll be back later though, don't you worry.

This photo by Cig Harvey captures what I wish I were doing.

Amélie at Dolores Park

Reason 45086285206 living in SF is awesome: This Thursday AmĂ©lie will play at Dolores Park!

It starts at 8:15 p.m. Bring your friends, lots of blankets and a puppy for good measure.

Jenna Lyons

Fashionista has a great interview with J. Crew Creative Director, Jenna Lyons. She's the woman responsbile for turning the brand from a overly preppy, stiff clothier to the creative outpost it is today.

Check it out here.

Two Brunettes

Big hugs to Carolynn who revamped the blog header here at Oh Hello! She was so sweet and patient with me as I jumbled my thoughts and ideas for roughly a week.

If your blog needs some freshening up, I strongly recommend you reach out to her little design studio, Two Brunettes.

Kai

I just ordered a body spray by Kai. It smells like fresh gardenias and is subtle enough not to be an overpowering scent for summer.

In Love With Love

I've realized that a lot of my favorite blogs are written by fabulous women who are head over heels in love with their men. Not in a gross, annoying way, but in a way that is refreshing and very sweet in this day and age.

Some of my faves:

Melissa from WithoutMelissa.

Carolyn from Team Boo {a new favorite - I stayed up way too late reading her sweet family chronicles}

Naomi from The Rockstar Diaries {a given}

Share some other blogs that are brimming with love please!

{I've had this card saved in my etsy favorites for ages now}

Petals & Waves

Love this little sneak peak from Project Runway winner, Leanne Marshall

When is Project Runway coming back, anyway? Too bad about all the drama between networks

A Day Without Sequins Is A Bad Day

New mantra alert!

The super creative Cassandra from coco+kelley launched another Style (E)scape and featured someone we all know and love: Jen Gotch!

Head over there to see what style tips the polaroid extraordinaire has to offer.

Yes Please

Doesn't this look like heaven?

I'd like to say my weekend was as tranquil as this, but it was quite the opposite. Too much fun was had by all.

Anthropologie has the best bedding.

I am spending the weekend away with a bunch of rowdy boys. Here's hoping I am still of sane mind when I return...

The ever-so-lovely Naomi started a great feature: here's to happiness!

Nicole Hill's interview with the immensely talented Cig Harvey.
