Pretty Much Perfect
This ring and these shoes are pretty much perfect. I'll let you figure out where you can find them. Big sigh.
Faves Of The Day

I'm going to take a page out of Kelly's book today and list some faves of the day:
-Rooftop lunches
-Surprise mid-week drinks and cheese plates at Tipsy Pig with my mama!
-This song Naomi posted last night - I've been listening to it on repeat. So soft and delicate.
-This new {to me} blog - after a quick look, I'm conviced the author is my internet bff soulmate.
-Freshly painted nails and toes!
-All the new fall clothing I am seeing popping up here and there.
-My little brother starting to {seemingly} get his act together.
-Wearing little braids in my hair.
Phew! This is a good exercise in reminding yourself that it's the little things that bring us joy...what's brightening your day today?
Love to Kelly for inspiring me.

Stenciled Hardwood
I am typically a fan of open, neutral rooms acting as a canvas for interchangable bright accents {kind of like this blog!}. Stenciled hardwood is something that I can throw my heart behind.
Take a look at these from design*sponge and design for mankind {via sfgirlbybay}. The first is my favorite. The floor isn't too perfect and the design adds just enough interest to a relaxed room.
LOVE !
J. Crew {Fall 09}
Well hello to you too J. Crew Fall Collection! Yes, I DO need that pink paperbag skirt - maybe in every color. No, you're right, I wouldn't mind the clutch either.
You can hardly tell in this shot, but if you look close enough, you can see a snippet tights peeking out under those shorts. How do we feel about this? I think the long-legged might pull it off quite well.
These outfits make me feel a bit better about the FREEZING SF weather we're having. I know I should be used to frigid July's by now, but somehow my hair {not to mention my soul} never get used to it. Blech.

Back To School {Paper Source}
Being a September baby always made going back to school one of my favorite times of year. Stocking up on school supplies was the big highlight for me.
I am loving these compostition books from Paper Source. They're one way to make my grown-up desk a bit brighter and bring me out of this funk.
These notebooks are perfect for meeting notes.
Every editor needs a giant eraser.
The fact that it's nearly August of 2009 is a huge smack in the face, but I adore this bright wall calendar - Paper Source makes great calendars!
A glam way to outline my miles-long to-do list.

Wary Meyers Interiors
Happy Monday people! I am having a wicked time getting back in the groove here after such a relaxing vacation. To say I am struggling would be putting it lightly.
These interiors by Wary Meyers have cheered me up a wee bit. You can see them all here, but my faves are below.

Any advice for getting out of a post-vacay funk? I'll take whatever you've got!

Happy Weekend {Sorta} ♥
I want to give a huge thanks to my lovely guest-bloggers this week! Being the control-freak that I am, I have to admit I was a bit nervous handing over the reins, but my expectations were surpassed in every way!
I usually welcome the weekend with open arms and sometimes a big kiss, but this particular Friday means that my annual family vacation is coming to a close. I've been coming up to Shasta since I was 6 years old and each year I value this time with my family more and more. I am so lucky to have these people in my life.
I am working on some new concepts for Oh Hello, but they are very early stages, so I don't want to say too much and jinx it!
I'll leave you with this outfit, which I find pretty perfect. The mustard yellow is spot on and the Lolita shades are not too kitsch in black. I am pretty sure I found it here.

Have a fab weekend, xo!

Weekend Countdown! It's Thursday, almost here!
Lindsey here!
No, I don't have my own blog, this is actually my first blog post ever, so I felt beyond privileged that Logan trusted me to write one while she's away! Logan and I have been roomies for about 3+ years, and until Amanda came along, no one thought we would love (or live with for that fact) anyone more than we do one another! Now we are a happy house of 3 close friends who love life together in San Francisco!
Here are some exciting events going on if you are looking to get into some fun!
Thursday:
If you know me, you KNOW I love a good Happy Hour. I have been known to stay at them for longer than the average person...so take my advice on this one! Come down to the Secret Seahorse Happy Hour at Harlot for delicious drink specials from 5-7 p.m. Special thanks to Live 105 and the handsome gentlemen over at Engine Company 1 for putting on this event. Did I mention you could also win passes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and a hotel stay for 2! I'm ready to get this weekend started early!

Friday:
Need a night out with the girls? Or even a night at home with the girls? Our group of girls love having our own nights to cook and entertain one another. Here is a no fail recipe, compliments of the Buendia family, for the most amazing Margaritas you will ever have! Make some simple tacos to go with it, or do what we do here at home: just drink and enjoy!
*2 (12oz) cans frozen lemonade (undiluted, thawed)
*1 (12oz) can frozen limeade (undiluted, thawed)
*1 (12oz) can frozen orange juice (undiluted, thawed)
*4 cups water
*1 (2 liter) Sprite or 7-Up
*2 cups Tequila (or more!!!)
*Mix and serve over ice!

Saturday:
I tend to get a little depressed during the SF Summers, I NEED SUNSHINE! When the fog gets to you, take a short little drive over to any of the beautiful sunny beaches in Marin. Pack some snacks, your tanning lotion, and of course don't leave the house without games (ring toss is a favorite) and soak up some sun!
Sunday:
Although Sunday is the day where most of us rest and recoup from our busy weekends, some have donated their time and energy to run in the San Francisco Marathon! There are numerous foundations that will benefit from this wonderful event, so even if you don't feel like running, you can still donate! I will be there cheering on my sweetie - best of luck to all the runners!

Happy (early) weekend everyone! Thanks again Lo, love you.
xoxo- Lindsey
What Lies Beneath
Amanda here from Pigment! Not only am I a fellow Oh Hello fan, I am one of Logan's good friends and her roomie! What this means for you loyal Oh Hello'ers is that I know some things about Lo that don't always transcend to her blog. I love fashion and pop culture, don't get me wrong; but I want to use this guest blog spot to expose what lies beneath my beautiful friend, Logan Triglia. Consider the dish served.
1) If she were stranded on an island she would take a baguette, brie cheese, and her computer.
2) At one time she was oddly obsessed with George Jung, the character played by Johnny Depp in Blow.
3) Her wit can be compared to Daria: sarcastically accurate.
4) She would do anything for her family.
5) With Lo's extensive background in cheerleading, she was able to master the Thriller dance like M.J. himself (R.I.P). Beyonce's Single Ladies is next...
6) She lives for dry shampoo (who doesn't? Oh yeah...people that bathe the old fashioned way....with water).
7) Logan will go nutso (in a good way) on a DPT "officer". No shame in the game.
I love Lo partly for these reasons and partly because she is the best friend a girl could have. She is sensitive, yet firm; funny when you need it the most, and is the kind of person that listens to what you are saying instead of thinking about how she will respond. Salud to Lo.

Favorites
Hi & hello! I was thrilled to accept Logan's invitation to guest blog for Oh, Hello. Logan is one of my favorite people and I couldn't be happier to be here today blogging for her :)
Something I love doing is look at all the things that make me happy/thankful. Over at Just a Girl in a City I do a sporadic "Faves of the Day" series. I write down a list of everything that is making me happy/what I'm favoring that day. It always puts me in a good mood and makes me smile. I thought I would do that today with a few alterations.
{Today's List}
-in no specific order-
1. Stationary
I am such a fan of snail mail correspondence {thank you's, invitations, hello letters, anything!} that I am constantly looking at stationary. Found these simple and lovely cards perfect for saying hello + thank you.
...
2. PicturesI love taking and looking at photos -- but who doesn't? Anyways, I've been looking at a ton of different pictures that I have saved and I can't help but smile while remembering all the memories. I wish I was this girl. She's so darling with her camera. Yes please! {image}
...
3. My sister Tracy

Tracy always makes me laugh to where my stomach hurts. She has a great out look on life and is always smiling. I find that super encouraging today. I love spending time with her :) {pictured with our friend Matt}
...
4. Burt's Bees
I wouldn't be able to live without this, especially today. This summer heat is really taking a toll on my lips! And the pomegranate is really refreshing, more so than the mint! {image}
...
5. Girly Apparel.
Was searching etsy the other day and stumbled upon this great line inspired by the Great Gasby. Loved them! They're so feminine and fun. I couldn't help but want the majority of the pieces. {1. Modified Pink Coco Pearl Fancy, 2. Fly Me to the Moon, 3. French Ruffle Tea Top, 4. Modified Pink Coco Pearl Fancy}
What are some of your faves? What makes you smile or has made you feel good today?

Sweet Nothings Here
Sara and Danielle from Sweet Nothings here! We were so excited when Logan asked us to kick off her guest blogging week, because we just j'adore her blog so much!
We wanted to do a fashion related post, yet couldn't decide what to cover..so Danielle is covering the Couture Shows and Sara is chatting about Street Style:
Couture shows are my favorite. I love the imagination, the whimsy, the excitement. People always ask me what is the point, since a lot of the clothes cannot ever be worn. I say it's all about the ideas, what they represent. You see the themes of the couture shows in the designers ready to wear collections. Here are my three favorite looks from last weeks Paris shows:
Dior.
This look is SOO Mad Men.

Shasta

Hey chicks, I'm on vacation! Can you believe it? I know it seems like I've been away a lot lately - I'm a lucky girl.
We arrived around 3 p.m. yesterday and took it easy for the rest of the day {it stayed in the 90s well into the evening} and the fam enjoyed grilled burgers and hotdogs for dinner {I had grilled cheese - no beef for me, thanks}. Today I lounged around the pool with my sweet nieces before heading to Castle Lake with our huge group of people.
I have some awesome people guest-blogging this week, so look forward to that. I know I am!

Happy Weekend ♥

It's official: I'm obsessed with Mad Men. Joan is my favorite, the way she sashays around that office - wow!
I am the type of person who completely immerses themselves in a show once they are into it. I want to know everything about every character. I like to read their Wikipedia entries - nerdy, I know.
Do you have shows you are obsessed with? Tell me!
I'll be back a bit later to introduce you to next week's guest bloggers.

Me Oh My
That night was a doozy. But worth every second! I've spent most of the day recuperating by way of copious amounts of Mad Men. I highly recommend it.
When I am feeling better remind me to tell you all about Rickhouse and the giant punch bowl of Pimm's Cup they served us {to enjoy out of white porcelain tea cups no less!}. It was absolutely perfect.

-she would do nearly anything for nearly anyone

Happy 25th Birthday* Megan - I love you!
