Candle Mania

Emily blogged about these Capri Blue candles as a great hostess gift today and I'd have to agree, though I'd have a hard time giving them up!

I love the vintage vibe of the jars and the dreamy colors. I bet they're beautiful when lit!

Emily Chalmers

Love the styling of Emily Chalmers' London home. Exposed brick painted white creates a much cozier feel, don't you think?

Betty Love

I had to repost these pictures of the inspirational Betty. These shots reaffirm my love of a neutral palate with shots of color. Love that chunky knit scarf too - how cozy!

Ban.do for the Bride

Ban.do's new bridal line is nothing short of phenomenal. No one does ornate head pieces like these two. My favorites {even for non-brides} are below.

Their affordable heart by ban.do line is nothing to sneeze at either.

Pssst...you can enter a giveaway and win one of the bridal pieces over at Snippet&Ink.

Jennifer Garner in W

I am digging the sultry-turned-ladylike vibe of these photos of Jennifer Garner for W Magazine. I love that she is one of the few celebrities who looks just as beautiful picking her (equally adorable) kid up from school as she does on the carpet. You don't see a lot of that these days.

Inspired by Mrs. Lilien

I came across the blog of Mrs. Lilien last night and it's one of those blogs that sucks you right in until you're scrolling through post after post, each one better than the last. I thought I was looking at fabulously put together gift guides, but it turns out it's just her immaculate year-round styling. Check her out here.

Below are a few of my favorites.

So Green

Love this wrapping idea from Chewing The Cud (not so crazy about the name, but I can get past it).

Happy Friday ♥

Happy weekend my loves! I am especially looking forward to this evening as it's the night of one of my favorite Christmas traditions. My hometown hosts Christmas on First Street the first Friday of each December complete with tree-lighting ceremony, lit wreaths hanging from every street lamp, carolers on most corners, hot chocolate booths...my dad even spins cotton candy for little kids!

I love love love this night and hope everyone gets a dose of seasonal cheer this weekend. xo.

Modern Snow Globes

These gorgeous snow globes popped up in my inbox this morning (thanks Anthropologie!) and just as I stopped fawning over them I came across this tutorial! There's obviously some sacrificial jewelery being thrown into the mix, but you could swap that out with cheaper replacements easily.

Viv&Ingrid Anniversary Party

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a party thrown by Ruby Press founder, Melissa Davis. It was the 10th anniversary party for her first client, Viv&Ingrid, and they turned Hayes Valley shop Miette into a 'Carnival of Sweets'.

Let me start out by saying that every single detail was beautifully thought out and perfectly executed from the red and white drinking straws to the fashion fortunes in the balloons each guest parted with. My fortune was to think about changing my hair style, but that's ok!

There was homemade cracker jack and marshmallows, lavender cotton candy, free-flowing champagne. The highlight was, of course, meeting Melissa in person for the first time. I was nervous she'd have no idea who I was, but she recognized me instantly and gave me a huge hug - so sweet. The whole night was pretty much a dream and I can't believe it's taken me this long to post about it.

We left with this sweet canvas tote which now houses my lunch each day. It was filled with little treats and even a pair of cupcake earrings!

The Fame Monster

I am drooling over these shots of Lady Gaga from the January 2010 cover of Elle. Love the teased ringlets and lack of pants all around.

She just re-released her album with a few new songs. Alejandro and Telephone (with Beyonce!) are my favorites so far. Can you believe I just said 2010 up there?!
